My name is Timm Linder and I am currently doing an internship at Microsoft Corporation in Bellevue/Redmond, WA, where I am working on the search engine Bing. Primarily, I am studying Applied Computer Sciences (Angewandte Informatik) at the University of Duisburg-Essen and have been a student research assistant at the research group Interactive Systems for the past two years.

Programming is one of my biggest hobbies: From 2003 to 2008, I worked together with a few other people on a 2D real-time strategy game called Sorades – Die Befreiung. The original version of the game was released as freeware in 2006 and won the Newcomer Award at the German Game Developer Award 2006.

In September 2008, a successor of the original version called “Sorades – Die Befreiung 1.3” has been published on the German market and is still in stores.

If you want to get to know more about me, my past and present projects and interests, then you are in the right place. In the Downloads section, you can download some of my work done for university. There, you will also find a download link to the freeware version of Sorades – Die Befreiung. Please note that some of my previous, older projects like SpaceBusters or MyEasyBackup can only be found at thelindercompany.de, which is a site I created some years ago together with my brother and my cousins.

Enough said for the moment — have a nice time surfing my web site! In case you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at e-mail!
